Happily Ever After

Last fall I posted engagement photo’s of my good friends Adam & Jonnie, and two weeks ago their big day finally came!  They were married at the historic Sotterly Plantation, and the setting was nearly as beautiful as the bride 😉  Though my official assignment of the day was passing out programs, I did manage to sneak in a few quick shots.

Today’s challenge was a new lens that I borrowed from my fellow photog friend Jen (who’s very trusting to let me borrow her gear!).  I went to take photo’s at a soccer game the morning of the wedding, and wanted to use a longer lens to make sure I didn’t miss any of the action.  My lens is 18x55mm, and the borrowed lens is 18x105mm, so I got a good amount of extra zoom.  The only problem was that I didn’t take into account that a longer lens = more light needed, especially in low light situations like an indoor wedding reception.  I didn’t have my lens with me to fall back on, so I had to rely on my not so fabulous flash, but I still made out with a few good pictures =)

All the best Adam & Jonnie!
